    Tell your state legislators to help pass the law now, before this year’s legislative session ends.

  • No. While this law would expand consumer choice to allow the purchase of wine in grocery stores, it will be limited to only grocery stores.

  • No. The expanded sale of wine would only be in grocery stores, not stores that sell clothing, electronics, furniture and also food.

  • Yes. Grocery stores would have incentives to sell New York wines – from the Finger Lakes, Hudson Valley and Long Island – opening new opportunities for New York wine makers.

  • No. This bill only applies to wine.

  • Absolutely not. Grocery stores currently sell beer and hard cider and vigilantly require legitimate proof for every purchase. Everybody knows someone well over the legal age who has been proofed while purchasing beer at a grocery store, to their surprise.
